Sometimes I get my camera out and I don’t have a clear vision what my goal for that moment is. I’ll chalk it up to wanting to have the camera in my hand, and exploring why I like to make photographs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the time, “because I enjoy it” is usually enough. This night, I was exploring a bit the reasons for photographs. Maybe events in my life that led me to exploring this hobby in a lonely way. After all, isn’t Ansel Adam’s work nothing if not feeling alive when you’re alone?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m clearly not Ansel Adams. Anyway, sometimes making photographs for the sake of it helps to clarify for me what I like about photographs and my style. That’s enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Made near a university campus. All Pentax K-1 with various lenses. Also strong reminder that I really love the lenses from the 80’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
